Liberation Coaching

Remember the self beneath survival.

A relational, embodied space for reclaiming what is yours and returning to the wisdom already living within you.

The Work

Liberation begins with remembering what survival asked us to forget.

Liberation is about remembering the wisdom that lives within your bones, reclaiming the parts of yourself that have been silenced or taken, and rising back into relationship with your body, your lineage, and your own inner power.

This coaching is a holistic, client-led space for remembering who you are beneath the layers of survival, conditioning, and systemic harm. My work is grounded in the belief that healing is relational, embodied, and deeply contextual; shaped by culture, identity, history, and lived experience. This is not a space for language of fixing or pathologizing. It is a space to walk beside each other as we reconnect with your own wisdom, power, and truth.

I understand healing as something that happens in relationship—to ourselves, our bodies, one another, our communities, our ancestors, the Earth, and her medicines. The relationship we build together is one part of this larger web, and I approach it with deep respect for your autonomy, agency, and inner knowing. There is room here for all parts of you and whatever may arise. My role is to listen deeply, attune to your body and nervous system, and tend with you to our relationship with the medicine. Ancestor work is deeply personal to me, shaped by lineages that taught me from a young age to honor those who came before us. When invited, there is space for ancestry, culture, and lineage to be part of our work too. More than anything, I hope to create a space where you feel safe to have the experience that is right for you, whatever that may look like.

My Approach

Relational. Embodied. Contextual.

My work draws from person-centered, decolonial, liberation-based, and somatic frameworks while remaining guided by the person in front of me rather than a predetermined formula.

Client-led and relational

Deep empathy, presence, uninterrupted exploration, and the belief that healing does not happen in isolation.

Listening to the body

Sessions may include conversation, somatic movement, breath work, mindfulness, visualization, stillness, or creative exploration depending on what feels supportive.

Whole-person understanding

Culture, identity, history, lived experience, oppression, marginalization, and displacement are understood as part of the context in which our nervous systems and stories take shape.

What the Process Looks Like

There is no formula for becoming more yourself.

Coaching is shaped around what you are carrying, what you are hoping to reclaim, and what feels possible in your life right now. We move at a pace that leaves room for relationship, reflection, and the wisdom of your body.

Beginning

We start with relationship.

Our first sessions are about getting to know one another and understanding what is bringing you here. We make space for your history, identities, relationships, hopes, patterns, and the larger systems and experiences that have shaped your life. Together, we begin noticing what you want more of, what you may be ready to release, and what support feels most useful.

Exploring

We follow what is alive.

There is no predetermined curriculum. Sessions may include conversation, somatic awareness, movement, mindfulness, visualization, creative exploration, or simply slowing down enough to listen. We can explore identity, grief, relationships, chronic illness, survival patterns, belonging, purpose, or whatever is asking for your attention.

Integrating

We bring the work into your life.

Insight matters, but so does what becomes possible outside our sessions. Over time, we notice what is shifting and explore ways to live in greater relationship with your values, body, needs, community, and sense of self. The goal is not to become a perfected version of yourself, but to have more choice in how you move through your life.

You set the pace. My role is to walk alongside you, ask questions, notice with you, and make room for what you already know.
You are the medicine. The medicine is within you.
Stories

— Hillary
“I am forever thankful for everything Maria has done for me. She was able to meet me where I was at mentally and spiritually and was able to open doors for me I didn't think were possible.”
— Christian
“When my life was upended by a chronic illness, I at first felt really lost navigating new themes like ableism and exclusion, accessibility, deep grief. Working with Maria helped me to metabolize a lot of these experiences and find my way through it.”
